Relax to music & views as we take the ferry out of Portsmouth
Sit back and chill for 20 minutes to relaxing music and views as we take the ferry out of Portsmouth, England towards France on board the Mont St Michel (Brittany Ferries).
Other Stuff – Cute little birdie attacks camera! The real Angry Bird.
Sweet rare little bird (Cirl Bunting) decided to attack the video camera that I had placed in the garden to get some footage of him. Precious stuff.
Photography – Two years with the NX1
A random (chronological-ish) selection of some of my favourite clips (over 200) all captured with the Samsung NX1 over the past two years in 4K. Filmed in “Manual” & ” Aperture Priority” exposure modes using an assortment of legacy Tamron Adaptall II lenses requiring manual focus.
Places – American War Cemetery, Normandy, France
A visit to the American War Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France. An incredible monument, beautifully maintained and situated. A fitting place of rest for those who gave so much. It’s probably wrong to say that it’s an enjoyable place to visit but there is an incredible sense of serenity and order, in such stark contrast to those dark times of war.
The keepers must be congratulated for their skills and dedication in how beautifully they maintain this fine monument and memorial. If you have not been then it is a place that you must visit, monuments such as this certainly put things in to perspective.
Review – Bosch Meat Mincer/Grinder
Our first review! The Bosch electric Meat Mincer/Grinder 2000w (MFW67440). We purchased this so as to be able to mince chicken as one of us has developed a problem eating red meat especially if it’s fatty. We wanted to be able to enjoy dishes such as spaghetti bolognese, chilli con carne, and other meals requiring minced meat. We learned that a lot of mincers tend to turn chicken to mush, so we invested in the Bosch and we are very pleased with the results. If you are looking for a mincer/grinder that can cope with chicken then we recommend the Bosch. The video includes a demonstration.
As a side note we must say that a lot of the dishes traditionally prepared with minced beef can often taste as good if not better with minced chicken.
